Bigg's Daet Grand Opening

They say that you've never truly been in Bicol, if you haven't visited Bigg's! This is actually one thing that I'm proud to say a true Bicolano brand. Bigg's Diner is the leading food chain in Bicol. It has been around since the 1980s and famous not just for their yummy Pinoy favorite foods, but also with their unique and awesome retro-vintage restaurant designs!

I've always been a fan. That's why I am so glad that they made their second appearance in my hometown, Daet! They just had their grand opening last May 30, 2014, and I was lucky enough to be invited as one of their bloggers for the event!

The event kicked off with the ribbon cutting, of course, and the store blessing headed by our Msgr. Cezar Echano. There were also several respective people who gave their remarks and messages at the event, like the President of Bigg's Diner Inc., Mr. Carlos Centenera, Municipal Mayor Tito Sarion, Municipal Vice Mayor Noel Ong, and the CEO of Bigg's Diner Inc., Mr. Carlo Buenaflor.

We were also greeted by this hunk mascot of Bigg's!

And also by this superstar! (I remember taking a picture with this mascot when I was in college. lol no regrets)

A street dance performance to welcome all the store customers!

And a grand opening of a Bigg's Diner outlet is not complete with its traditional Giant Burger! Its patty alone weighs 2.5kg, equivalent to 20 extreme burgers! Imagine how big that is~!

Bigg's Daet is the 15th outlet of Bigg's Diner in the Philippines. Every outlet has an American retro diner vibe with different themes. If I'm not mistaken, there's an Hollywood-themed outlet, sports-themed, New York-themed, and there's also a branch that looks like a radio-transistor! All unique with retro-vintage vibe!

Here in Daet, I was so happy that they came up with a theme that is in line with a thing that is famous in Daet, SURFING! My friends from Naga and Manila saw my recent post about Bigg's Daet here, and it made them want to go to Daet soon! Let's take a look at the interior of Bigg's Daet...
