I am catching up! So many backlogs. So lazy me... Somebody please save me from watching TV shows and Kdramas! lol I've been spending most of my summer at home because ugh, it's so freakin' hot outside, don't you think? But hey! I already have a plan to end my summer with a bang! Have you heard of the Tumblr Summer Ender Meetup @ Kaogma Festival 2014? It's going to happen this May 31st at the Provincial Capitol of Camarines Sur.

So yeah, I decided to do this backlog today. My recent Tumblr Meetup, the Febibig 2014! As I've blogged before, I announced that I'd have my very first blogger talk in this event! Ahh~! It was awesome. It felt like I'm a legit blogger. lol

I've had a talk about fashion blogging along with my lovely A-Fash sisters, Danica on Unbreakable Style and Didi of Frances and Flair. And in this photo, we're with Sam of The Clothes Freak also, A-Fash and one of the organizers of the event too! Danica talked about styling, Didi about Posing 101, and me about blogging!

I wasn't able to take much photos of the event because my DSLR gave up on my on the same day. We'd spent lots of awesome years together. But maybe it's really time to say goodbye to her already. *sobs* (yes I gave my DSLR a gender lol) I was really planning to buy a new one anyway. Heh~ So yeah, I just asked my photographer friend, Jan Keifer, to take my outfit photos! Thanks Keif!

So here's what I wore. Something striking but not over the top, stylish but still comfy! In meet-ups like this, it would be nice to wear an always-ready-for-a-photograph outfit, but do not forget to make it as comfy as possible because you'd be expecting games that would require physical activities in this kind of events.

Bicol Fashion Week Wave 2

OMG! There’s a Bicol Fashion Week fast approaching again!! *u*

The BFW will have its second wave this September 5 to 9, 2013! This is going to be a five day event, held at several key locations in both Naga and Legazpi city! There will be fashion bazarre, fashion party(!), inauguration of the newly established Association of Bicolano Models (ABM), and fashion shows showcasing different designers of Bicoladia, and of course, four of the best designers in Manila, which shall be the biggest mystery of the event!

Want a clue? Hmm.. ‘Cause I'm gonna be spoiling to you guys ALL of the four major designers in the Bicol Fashion Week Wave 2!

Such big names in the fashion industry! Most (or all) of them, I think, are Bicolanos! Making me feel proud to be a Bicolano! If you haven't heard of them yet, my co-Bicol bloggers wrote about them in their blogs to make you guys more excited for the Bicol Fashion Week Wave 2! They're really worth knowing. Swear, their talent is admirable. They're someone to be proud of, especially for us Bicolanos and even for all Filipinos, because they're also known nationally and internationally!

Everything For The Techie: Fashion Bloggers Runway

My biggest exposure as a blogger so far!! OMG~ Can you imagine me walking the runway with my height and awkward walk? Can’t believe I was able to walk the runway again after the Modeling 101. I thought that was my last! But thanks to this event, I was able to experience the runway again!!

Last Sunday, August 23, 2013, ten of the Bicol Fashion Bloggers were invited by the SM City Naga for an event for the techies! And I was lucky enough to lead these bloggers for this event. I never thought that opportunities would finally come to us, after a year of organizing and uniting a group of fashion bloggers here in Bicol.

Can’t hide my happiness! Haha. I was giggling here because I was shocked that my family is seated right in front of the runway! I just couldn't help myself. Haha. My mom is the one holding an iPad capturing me on the bottom left of the photo above. Support! Hihi. I’m really thankful that they were able to come and support me. They don’t usually support me with my blogging, because they kinda still don’t understand what I am doing. Mehehe~

As techies ourselves, we were given a chance by SM City Naga, with their sponsors, Comworks, Samsung, Alcatel, Starmobile and Smart to model gadgets! Before the event, we were given handsets to experience and tell what we love about the gadgets in the show.

The first gadget for me was a Samsung tablet, but I was able to talk about my second gadget during the event, the Nokia Lumia 900 from Smart. What I love about this Windows Phone 7.8 handset, aside from its number of cool features, is its 8 megapixel autofocus camera with dual LED flash camera that takes really clear photos, because you guys know that I'm really into taking photos. Next is its very classy look and its 4.3" AMOLED display that really looks good. And because I am a blogger, I really use my phone a lot, to update my followers, contact persons, etc. That's why I am thankful for the Nokia Lumia 900, because it has a long battery which will enable you to enjoy your phone all throughout the day!

And here’s what I wore during the event! Our theme for the Fashion Bloggers Runway was pink and blue! We just had our outfit shoot inside the mall because we don’t have anywhere to go. Hihi. Would you believe I am wearing head-to-toe thrifted here? *wink*

We're very thankful for all the people who made this all happen, especially to SM City Naga, Smart and Comworks! It was honestly a cloud 9 experience for us Bicol Fashion Bloggers, and I hope more opportunities would come to us after this big break! *u*

ACP

Fresh Mint x ACP

Late post! :p

Last February 27, Ateneo de Naga conducted one of my favorite events in the university, the ACP! or also known as Alternative Class Program where every Atenean are able to have a break in their regular classes and attend a their chosen topic instead. Sports, literature, film, photography, blogging, music, fashion, etc. Every student shall only attend one topic for the day, but as an always=a-rule-breaker-during-ACP I am, I attended two topics! (like I always do every sem! hihihi) *u*

(sorry for low quality photos! lighting is kinda sucky inside the classrooms!)

The first topic that I attended was I DREAM to set up a vogue of clothing style with Mr. Randz Manucom! This ACP's theme was Electric Dreams which focused on sparking up our dreams, which I think Randz Manucom did well. He talked mostly about his life and how he got to where he is now. He's kind of interesting. He's no model, stylist, photographer, nor a student of fashion or arts (as it says in his blog), yet he made it to the fashion industry! He currently works at Metro Magazine. Awesome. Well, his story's really kind of inspiring, and I really had fun hearing his talk. He's a little talkative, but still makes sense! ;)

We also had a little activity (which explains the 2nd photo), a dress up game! Fashion challenge! Style a model with just a piece of cloth and one necklace, and my group won the 2nd place, yay!

The second talk I attended was all about blogging (which I always do attend! hihi) with Ms. Daphne Benosa! She has been a friend for a while now, but this was just the first time we finally met. I adore her blog, both contents and photos! (Check out her blog post about her ACP experience here) She's a member of Bicol Fashion Bloggers too, but she's based in Manila. Her talk was fun and very informative. I got to learn more about her and.. about myself too! Her talk indeed inspired me to continue blogging and do even better! ;)

I was lucky enough to be photographed by Mr. Chad Versoza (on film!), who happens to be Ate Daphne's boyfriend. He was also there for the ACP to talk about photography. Well, what can I say, this couple is a really great match. A fashion blogger and a photographer!

Because it's one of my most favorite events in our university, I decided to wear something blogger-ish that requires me to stand out and stand tall! Hihi. I always wear something special during the ACP because I got to meet some awesome people in the event. Ateneo never fails to invite awesome speakers every sem! My favorites are David Guison, Vern Enciso, and Mango Red!
