Almost Is Never Enough

I've been having LSS on Ariana Grande and Nathan Sykes' duet of Almost Is Never Enough for like a month now. Still can't get over it. I've been such a big fan of Ariana since her days as 'Cat' on Nickelodeon's Victorious. I think she's just so awesomely weird and a perfect definition of pretty and cute. And oh, don't you think Grande and Sykes look really perfect for each other? The news about their break-up was very much devastating. But maybe there's really no perfect relationship. Oh, just like in the song...

The smile I'll miss...

I actually don't have something to share to you guys about my life right now. So yeah, let me fill this blog post with my favorite lines from their song Almost Is Never Enough. You can also listen here so you can feel the song while enjoying this blog post. Oh the feels~ :')

Top, Cap & Sneakers: Thrifted | Denim Polo: Greenhills | Socks: Forever 21

"I'd like to say we gave it a try

I'd like to blame it all on life

Maybe we just weren't right

But that's a lie, that's a lie."

"If I could change the world overnight,

There'd be no such thing as ~~goodbye~~.

You'd be standing right where you were

And we'd get the chance we deserve."

" 'Cause sooner or later

We'll wonder why we gave up

The truth is everyone knows

Almost, almost is never enough..."

W is for Whimsy Love

Being whimsical reminds me of being a little kid who could always find joy with little things.

Top: Landmark | Neon Skirt & Creepers: Thrifted | Socks: Forever 21

The most awaited day of sweethearts and the most depressing day for our members of the singles club is just a few hours away. A-Fash decided to have a theme related to it to celebrate the hearts day: Dress Up What Your Heart Feels.

If you can't say it, wear it! Dressing it up is a really nice outlet for us fashionistas to show what we feel. Dark colors when you're feeling sad and gloomy. But one day you'd also feel as bright and colorful as your happy heart. One day you'd feel very strong as your edgy clothes, but sometimes you'll also surrender to the playfulness of being a kid with your preppy get up.

Bow Socks: Forever 21 | Creepers: Thrifted

The status of my heart? Hmm? I hope this outfit gave you a hint! *wink*

Can you also guess what their hearts are sayin'? Like our page to get updates from them too! ;)

I'm hoping that you'd get a really good day tomorrow! TGIF! lololololol *u*

Fresh As A Daisy

DigiPrint Jacket: Romwe | Pants: Mr. Lee | Creepers: Thrifted

“Fresh as a Daisy” - an idiom that means always alert and ready to go. As of the moment, that is what’s really needed of me. Doing and accomplishing a lot of things right now that I’ve never thought I could even handle. Thanks to Ateneo for giving me the value of Magis! Few weeks left of being an Atenean for me. *crossed fingers*

Blurred but I like it.

A-Fash’s keeping up with the Digital Print phenomenon! DigiPrint ~~(lol it sounds like a digimon mehehe hashtag random hashtag childhood)~~ is our theme last week. Just in time for the arrival of my new Romwe jacket! Love the forest-y feel of it. Reminds me so much of freshness that’s why I opted to pair it with a green colored pants also.

Lovin’ this top also! Isn’t it a little creepy? Yup, that’s why I like it. Haha. I also have a photo imitating the face of this baby, but decided not to post it anyway! HAHAHA

Spike bracelet from Dani Barreto’s booth on BU7

This pair’s having too much exposure on my blog...

This outfit’s kinda simple if you’d think of it. Just a tank top + jeans combo. I’m more into comfy clothes now. I’m over with fashion-sacrificing-comfort outfits. What matter most are the details you put on it. Just tie a long sleeved polo or jacket around your waist, or play with prints instead of just wearing plain colors and your outfit's now pumped up!

Dusk Dreamer

Had a shoot again with my magnificent photographer Paul Echano a few weeks back! Wasn't really a good day for a shoot because it was freakin' cold and a little bit rainy outside, but I still like how the photos turned out! The color of dusk in a rainy day~

Top: Forever 21 | Panda Cap, Skort, Platform Sneakers: Thrifted

Built my outfit on my new favorite denim skort. Paired with my adorable Forever 21 midriff top. Swear, it was freakin' cold that day that I almost lost the courage to take off my thick sweaters for the shoot. Haha. Oh, for the love of fashion blogging~ And thanks to thigh high socks for keeping me warm and cute also! :3

As usual, the shoot was great and I got to meet some awesome friends of Paul also! The shoot was actually their barkada’s shoot. I’m just a "saling pusa," (or should I say "saling panda?" lololol omg get the joke? hahahashtag sabaw~) on their shoot. They went out for a shoot because they need to change their display photos on Facebook. Awesome people. I mean, who else does that? lol They also happened to be my blog readers, and artsy people as well! which is extra awesome. I srsly had a blast! (Love you, guys! hihi)

As of the moment, I'm balancing all my academic and extra-curricular stuff, and I'm doing my best to make the most of my remaining college days. So yeah, I'm super duper busy lately. But of course, blogging is still on my list! I'm pushing it. Doing my best to do just everything. Hee~

Well, I hope you're having a blast and making the most of your life too! ..and I hope to see your name givin' some love on the comment box also! Hihi

Much love, Jamie ♡

Ms. Oxblood Pants

I'm being a fashion rebel lately. I'm wearing now the pieces that I used to not adore, like this baggy pants I'm wearing here. (omg guys, I'm wearing pants already! lol) I used to hate wearing pants, especially the baggy ones. I've been so girly the past years that I almost wore skater skirts everyday, until my style shift.

People change, really. To try and explore new things. They said that the age of 20 is the stage when you'll try to know and find yourself (Yes, I'm already 20. Sorry for the not updated sidebar info, and for being kid-looking. lol).

Top: Landmark | Flannel, Pants & Shoes: Thrifted

You try to explore and make yourself as your own experiment. It is the age when it's okay to take risks and make mistakes. We're not yet old enough for it anyway.

My style shift is also a part of my life exploration. And I'm enjoying it so far. It somewhat reminds me that I need to be stronger this time. To take risks, and enjoy my decisions in life. To be fearless, and forget what others might think. To remind myself that it's okay to not stick on the status quo, as long as you're happy with what you're doing.

*some life reflections happening* lol Didn't mean to be that serious. I guess I'm now getting the Graduating Student Syndrome. Haha. 2 months left! TT-TT Well anyhoo, I hope you guys enjoyed this post! And I hope you're enjoying my style shift too.

P.S. Please like my fashion community's page! We have a new stuff on our page called the Ateneo #FOTD where we feature spotted Ateneo fashionistas inside the campus. Awesome, right? So if you're also going to the Ateneo de Naga University. Dress up every wash days, and get spotted! *u*

Christmas

Gift-Giving with Havaianas

I know I'm a little too late for this post, but as what Havaianas' tagline says, "Always Summer," - always fun-loving, always happy-spirited. Can my blog have the Always Christmas instead? Hihihi~ No, just kidding guys. I just really wanted to share to you the fun of the surprise Havaianas gift-giving to PAL Express passengers last December 24.

Yes, the day before the Christmas day last year, Havaianas surprised every passenger of PAL Express with a very special gift!

They also brought Santa with them! Here's a photo of some passengers that have just touched down the land of Cam Sur, not knowing summer awaits them!

Can you guess what the lucky passengers got for Christmas..?

Uh-huh! You guessed it right! A free Havaianas pair specially packed and wrapped just for them! Lucky Havaianaticos! Wish I had a flight on that day too. T-T

*yea just to get a Havs pair too! hee*

The day wasn't a perfect sunny day to have fun outside. The flight was even delayed because of the bad weather.

But of course, Havaianas wouldn't let the rain stop us from living out summer everyday! It's Havaianas once again realizing the season of giving, spreading the Havaianas colors, fun and surprises!;)
