Experience CamSur with Havaianas (Part 1)

5:23 PM

I got invited by Havaianas to participate on their Havaianas: A Dream Photoshoot by mangoRED as one of their bloggers! I've been working with this brand for years already and they never fail to surprise me! Aside from covering the shoot of mangoRED (read all about it here), Havaianas prepared an Experience CamSur with Havaianas event for the bloggers too!

A number of bloggers from areas of Calabarzon and Bicol got invited by Havaianas to participate in this 2-day all-fun event, and I am really overwhelmed to be part of this. I am really grateful to be one of the partners of Havaianas! They really know how to pamper their bloggers! Hihi.

The event kicked off with an opening program at the chillax gazeebo near the pool of Avenue Plaza Hotel, where Havaianas checked us in. At the moment, we were already hungry and this was the first thing we saw, instead of the other people in there. Hahaha just kidding!

Sweets in displayed in a very artsy way is hard to ignore!

But honestly, the first thing that caught our attention is how beautifully the gazeebo was set up! Sadly, my camera lens didn’t allow me to take full length photos! (I’m using 50mm f/1.8)

I immediately asked a staff who’s the artsy person behind all this. It was the production designer and stylist for the shoot, Mr. Ben Nasayao!

This really made me more excited to witness the photo shoots! Swear, every corner can pass for a pinterest or Tumblr artsy photo. lol

The event went on with meeting our other companion on the 2-day event, the couples, the awesome Havaianas people, the sponsors, the stylist, the make-up artist, hairstylist, and the mangoRED. A small talk, hi-hello from everybody, and of course, a message from the Havaianas Managing Director, the ever beautiful, Ms. Rica Buenaflor.

After the opening, it was time to eat out for lunch! Thanks to one of my fave restos in Bicol, Bigg’s Diner, for preparing our lunch! If I’m not mistaken, this dish is their yummy tenderloin tips.

After lunch, we headed back to the Avenue Plaza Hotel to freshen up. While waiting for the others to finish, some of us bloggers decided to play the fancy piano at the lobby. It’s been a while since I last played piano, so don’t be fooled with the photo above! Hahaha. After more bloggers joined in to play around with the piano, we got kicked off from playing it! Only legit pianists can play. Oops… Haha. Sorry for disturbing other guests! :3

After it, it’s time for the first photo shoot at the Camsur Watersports Complex (CWC)!
But, err.. Our CWC leg is so much fun it would require another blog post! Plus, this post is getting lengthy already, don’t you think? I'll keep you hanging for a little while! Stay tuned for more Experience Cam Sur with Havaianas posts in this blog! Next post will be all about our experience at the CWC! *wink*
