Wild&Young Magazine Feature: All I Want for Christmas is Snow

My second feature on Wild & Young Magazine! *YAY* Last issue, I featured a total autumn look for you, but this time, they asked me to do an outfit that would be perfect for winter!

Though we don’t actually have winter here in the Philippines, it’s my dream experience AND dress up for winter! Haha talk about every fashionista's dreams... Oh, the unlimited possibilities of styling and layering!

We actually have various stores here in the Philippines that sells winter clothes (though we don’t have that season). The perfect store to shop F/W clothes is on thrift stores. People here don’t actually prioritize on buying sweaters and boots, so you can usually take first dibs on them or still find them available even it's time for a clearance sale!

I've had this dress for quite a long time now, preparing to be worn on my travels during the cold season. I so love the texture and the print! The color combination gray, black and red, I think, is very classy and appealing. These colors are also very in this winter!

Everyone loves plaid, including me! That's why I'm happy that mad plaid is still on even this winter!

A cozy beret is a necessity during winter! I got mine from Japan last month, and I'm actually also selling them on my online shop! Visit KawaiiYen Shop PH to order this beret similar to what I am wearing.

And of course, adding a hint of kawaii on my outfit with this adorable cat thigh-high socks!

One of my favorite boots! Would you believe I just got this on a thrift store? Just what I told you, you can usually get first dibs on bootsies in the thrift stores here in the Ph!

Campbell's Plaid

Before anything else, I'd like to say that I hope everyone's doing fine here in the Philippines. Our country just got hit by the strong typhoon, Glenda. Our hometown got hit too, and I saw the aftermath of it just yesterday and it was frightening. I've been wide awake when this scary typhoon hit us, and I never stopped praying. We're so lucky that all of us stayed safe and dry, and I hope everyone's okay too. I hope my readers from the other countries (if I do have any) give a little help by praying too. It really does help.

It's been a while since I last blog an outfit post! I've been trying new things like lifestyle and food blogging (which I apparently haven't blogged all yet), and I'm honestly enjoying it. Because, uhh.. FOOD! Haha just kidding. And apparently, I don't have a photographer here in my hometown, so yeah. Expect more of this background on my outfit posts in this blog.

This is what I wore on the grand opening of Bigg's Diner in our hometown. I got invited to participate as one of their bloggers. You can read all about it here.

I don't really know what to wear on these kind of events. I thought of wearing something blogger-ish casual, but not over the top. Striking but still comfy, so I can move around to cover the event. And here's what I've decided to wear!

A printed muscle tee from Romwe.

A pair of jeans, added a plaid button-down on my waist for a more detailed look.

A pair of platform sneakers to give my outfit more attitude, but without sacrificing comfort! A very light houndstooth tote bag that can fit my life in it, including my humongous camera!

Kept my accessorizing simple with this Forever 21 holographic chain bracelet.

Free-Spirited

So sorry for being away for more than two weeks? I've been really uninspired to blog lately. Maybe with my busy schedule, and also with personal issues. No, I don't have a life-and-death situation right now. I've been just thinking a lot of my career. I'm really in the dilemma right now. To employ or to start my own business? To continue fashion or to find something else? Do I really have a future in these? What do I really want? or just pursue what I would need?

Few days from now, I'll say goodbye to my third year in college. I have to prepare myself now to my last year in college! Yes, I'm that old even though I don't look that old. After a year from now, I'll be in the real world... and I know I have to start making my decisions now for my future. These things made me ..I don't know, a little disturbed? or more like nervous! but there's also that excitement. Hmm? Anxiousness..

But hey! I found these photos from last year, just two months ago, from my photo shoot with a great photographer Jan Keifer Jaim. My styling for this photoshoot is Boho. Boho style is known for loose, flowy silhouttes, environmentally conscious clothing, ethnic jewelries, warm, earthy color tones, and most of all, being free-spirited! Free-spirited people are someone who isn't weighed down by the troubles of everyday life, is always themselves regardless of the situation and lives life to the full. Not restricted by other people's opinions. Ha! I remember myself being like that! and I just found my free-spirited self again when I found these photos!

Keifer is a really great photographer. Well, you can see that in these photos right? He uses both digital and film cameras, if I'm not mistaken. He's friendly when I first met him in the internet, but quite shy in person. But you can live with it. He takes just really few shots, which I find new because I used to take a lot of shots when I do outfit shots just to have 5 usable shots. Hee~ But Keifer noticeably knows what he's doing. I noticed that he doesn't talk much, but as a model, you would feel he knows what he is doing and just trust him with he's work.

And ta-da! I'm so happy with the result! My peg for my second outfit in Keifer's shoot is country! Taylor Swift-ish with the guitar. Yea~ with the log cabins in the background! I feel so happy with these photos! I love them to bits! I've always dreamt to have a photo shoot with a guitar. Hihi. Thanks to Keifer who made this happen!
